Our Children and Families
Leilani
and Ben Taholo believe that children and families are
the foundation of our community. They also know how incredibly
effective a facilitated family group conference can be
for families facing major transitions and decisions in
life that impact all of its members and daily lives. In
2003, wanting to devote their energies to the people of
our communities, they opened Child
and Family Empowerment Services.
Child
and Family Empowerment offers
mental health services for children, teens and adults
through individual and group therapy. In addition to their
traditional clientele, clients are often referred by district
courts, the juvenile court system and various religious
entities. The company seeks to help clients meet their
own treatment goals within 12 sessions, encouraging clients
to graduate from the process. Therapeutic approaches are
culturally appropriate and speaking services are offered
in Spanish, Tongan, Russian and French. Offices are located
at 1578 West 1700 South Suite 200 in Salt Lake City.
