Steps to Apply

Through a five step process, you willl have the opportunity to communicate your plan and turn your talents, abilities and initiative into a successful small business.

We will help you to understand how the credit process works, provide resources that can assist you with the preparation of your business plan and fine-tune your presentation to the loan committee.

Step 1: Attend a Free Orientation Meeting

At your Orientation Meeting, we will provide you with our application materials and answer any of your questions about our program.  We also will provide you with resources to assist you with the preparation of your business plan.  Attendance at an Orientation Meeting is the first step to apply for any of our loans.

Step 2: Complete the Application Process

Our application package includes forms we will provide to you, your tax statements and the business plan you create.  Together, these will communicate the full vision for your small business.

Step 3: Present Your Business Plan

During your Loan Committee meeting, you will have the opportunity to present your business plan to demonstrate your ideas, skills and commitment to make your small business a success.  Loans are made based on:

  • A business plan that shows you understand your business, know who your customers are and know how to sell enough to them to make the business successful.
  • Your experience, talent and dedication to make the business succeed.  This meeting will also provide you with the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

After the meeting, we will contact you by phone within 2 business days to let you know whether your loan has been approved or declined.

Step 4: Close your Loan

It’s time to sign the papers!

Step 5: Start or Grow Your Small Business

Congratulations!  It’s time to receive your loan.
